About
You need a thin yoga mat, a large towel and your water bottle. You can leave everything else in the reception area which is securely locked up while class is in progress.
The room is heated to 38 degrees to increase blood circulation to your muscles so you can move safely into the therapeutic yoga postures. This increased circulation also brings better blood flow to your organs and glands to promote healing.
Welcome to your yoga journey! All of Ahimsa’s classes are suitable for beginners. We all start our yoga practice wherever we are in our body’s story. There are no prerequisites and our teachers are expert in offering variations to suit different bodies and explaining the foundations of postures. We all have unique bodies and we do our best with what we have. It is yoga practice, not yoga perfect.
One of our 60-minute 26&2 classes is the perfect way to begin your hot yoga journey and experience the magic of Original Hot Yoga. Take it easy, rest when you need, and enjoy each posture as an opportunity to explore what feels good for you.
There are no rules around this. Some people find that yoga relieves menstrual symptoms while others prefer to have a rest day when their flow is heavier. Do what feels most nourishing for you.
